Attending Networking Events

Different Types of Networking Events: Breakfast Networking Events

If you’re a morning person a breakfast networking event is a great way to start your day. Breakfast networking events (or even breakfast one-to-ones) allows earlier risers to make the most of their morning and get ahead before the day has even properly begun.

What is a Breakfast Networking Event?

Breakfast networking often offers a space to have a cup of coffee or juice, with some breakfast and an opportunity to network. It may be purely networking or it may be a seminar or training event with some networking over breakfast followed by a speaker.

Why should you attend a Breakfast Networking Event?

In addition to the usual reasons to attend a particular networking event (such as networking with your target audience or a particular speaker), a breakfast event can mean that you get to speak with contacts before they are too busy and/or the regular stress of the working day takes over.

This can mean that you are more likely to get an opportunity to speak to them or be able to ask them for an opportunity. There are also particular people that tend to only attend breakfast events and morning one-to-ones because that is all that they have time for in their regular routine.

From a personal perspective, if you are an earlier riser it can help you make use of what might otherwise be dead time and it also allows you to get something proper to eat (or try a new breakfast location) so that you have fuel for a more productive day while also giving you the opportunity to network.
