Finding things to do and getting started – Make your Networking Goals Actionable!
How you approach this will depend on what your networking goals are. We have previously written about why you should have networking goals and some initial thoughts on the topic.
This week we want to develop those initial thoughts into further actionable goals.
To get started ask yourself the following questions:
- What do you want to achieve through your networking?
- What do you really want to achieve though your networking?
- How will you achieve this?
- If that doesn’t work what are the alternative options?
- From the list of options which is the best option?
From this information you should be able to start writing your goals.
Goal setting and making them actionable
All goals should be SMART goals. Yes, I am once again banging on about making your goals SMART goals. I can’t say it enough.
All of your goals should be:
- Specific
- Measurable
- Achievable
- Relevant
- Time-Bound
You should be using these rules to develop your goals, from initial ideas into actionable goals.
