LinkedIn: Are you using the “Find Nearby” feature?
If you are using the LinkedIn app on the go – you might want to try out the “Find Nearby” Function. With “Find Nearby,” LinkedIn wants to help you connect with the people you meet during meetings, conferences, and events. Simply while you are out networking – you can use the “Find Nearby” to connect with the people you are physically talking to (rather than exchanging business cards) and of course, make sure that you find the right person on social media.
As is it a fairly new I’ve not seen a lot of people on it yet (other than at LinkedIn Local), but I expect that more people will engage with it to help them connect with people (especially when networking).
“Find Nearby” uses your device’s Bluetooth to “scan” the people around you. Users need to activate the feature to be discoverable. Find out more about how to set it up here.
