What are Organisational Skills?

Organisational Skills are the ability to manage yourself (and/or others) and resources to reach a specific goal. The skill is a combination of planning and prioritisation (time management).

Individuals who are organised are usually more productive and more efficient. Undertaking your networking activities in an organised manner can help you network more productively. Have a system in place to manage your networking.

Skill Development Plan – Get more organised

By being more organised you can remove a lot of stress and help keep you motivated and on top of things so that you don’t fall behind on your networking efforts.

Action Point: Use a networking planner for everything related to your networking and business development activities. This will help ensure that information does not go missing and that you are on top of your to-do list. You should also have a dedicated online filing system for your emails and networking activities.

WFH Action Point: Working from Home may give you an opportunities to start from scratch with a filing system or planning routine or tweak an existing one. Think about how accessible the inforamation you need is. Has WFH caused you any issues? What can be done to improve these?
