There are two key places where you might want to use questions to boost your engagement on Instagram and build your community.

Use Instagram Captions to ask Questions

To encourage engagement and prompt networking you should be using questions and calls to action in your Instagram captions (and comments). Asking a question as part of your caption can be a simple way to get the conversation started.

se Polls in Instagram Stories

Another alternative is to use Polls in your Instagram Stories. This allows you to pose a question to your followers, with a choice of two responses.

To add a poll to your Instagram Stories, use the stickers icon and then click the polls icon to add to the story. Add your question and the responses. The default responses are yes/no. However, you can customise these to make it more relevant or interesting.

Your Poll will then last 24 hours with your story (if you want it to last longer you might want to add it as a stories highlight). You can check the results of your poll by swiping up in your Story. Once the poll has ended don’t forget to share the results with your followers and do any related follow up.
