Quick Tip: Read Articles and Share Interesting Reads with your Network
A large part of networking is of course about asking questions and finding out more about others but you also need to have things that you can talk about and share with your contacts and having interesting articles and other resources at your disposal.
One way to do this is to create your own (either yourself or within the business) and the second way is to have third party information (usually industry or business-related resources) that you already read so that you can talk about it and share by way of follow-up with your contacts when the relevant topic comes up.
You can then drop them a line and say “I saw this and thought of you…”
Use RSS feeds (such as Feedly) for pulling together content to read (and saving it for later) and subscribe to mailing lists that you find interesting.
You might even like to curate and write your own if you have an interesting niche.
