Quick Tip: Ask your Network for an Introduction

When you are starting out (and even if you are a regular networker) it is important to not be afraid of the ask. Asking your network for a favour, or an introduction.

Asking for an introduction can be a simple question. Ask: “Can You Introduce Me to [Person Your Contact Knows]?”

Ask contacts in your network for an introduction to other professionals and contacts that you want to get in touch with.

Just drop them an email asking for an introduction, ask them in person if you are at a networking event (you might even get an introduction there and then) or when you are having a face to face catch up. There is no right time or right way if you have a good relationship with them.
