Quick Tip: Have you written these cards yet? More Cards to Write.
Are you sending Christmas Cards this year? As well as these classic recipients for cards within your network. Here are some MORE cards that you might like to think about sending this year:
Cards for your Former Colleagues
It may be appropriate to use Christmas cards to reach out to former colleagues – it has been a difficult year and this can be a nice way to keep in touch with former colleagues who you might not have been able to see and keep in touch with during the lockdown period and show them that you are thinking about them. You may no longer work together, it doesn’t mean that you can’t keep in touch.
Cards to Say Thank you for Inspiring me
2020 has been challenging in many ways. Sometimes you might just want to send a card to someone who has been there for you or who has inspired you. A mentor, a role model, a coach etc. Whoever it is, show your gratitude by sending them a Christmas Card.
Cards to warm up cold contacts
Just send a card simply to say hello and get back in touch with someone. The pandemic has meant that business development and networking for many people has fallen done the to-do list. It might be that you are not as active in your network at the moment. A Christmas card can be a simple excuse to get back in touch and just say hello and wish someone well.
Cards for your Employees and Direct Reports
For the important people without whom you would not have survived this year such as your employees, your direct reports, your PA, your IT Manager. Whoever it is who made your life easier this year, why not write them a Christmas Card to show them that they made a difference and say thank you.
So if you haven’t already done so – write your Christmas card list.
