Remote Networking Tips #16: Set up a Virtual 1-1 Coffee

If you would normally meet someone for coffee, whether this is an internal contact or an external one why not arrange to have a “virtual coffee” instead – over your video conferencing platform of choice.

This can be done at any time of day and is perfect for simply taking a break and catch up and getting some social interaction in. With colleagues, it can be part of a team catch up. With external contacts, it can simply be a check-in to see how they are doing as part of your regular networking routine. The only difference is that you are doing it virtually across a video platform rather than in person.
