Remote Networking Tips #10: Introduce Yourself and Make Sure Everyone Knows who you are.

Whether you are on a call or attending a webinar or virtual networking event, make sure that you make yourself known. Properly introduce yourself with a snappy one-liner (or slightly longer “elevator pitch” if appropriate.
Make sure that you contribute to the conversation and/or ask a question to make yourself more memorable (rather than hanging back in the background).
With internal events and meetings, if you find yourself in a meeting or conversation with other team members you don’t already know. Table the time to introduce yourself properly and look to form a better working relationship with them whether you are working directly with them at the moment or have the opportunity to work with them in the future.
