S is for… Sharing

We have discussed sharing briefly in the context of the activity feed. So you know what shared content appears in the activity feed and you know that you can “like” shared content. But what about if you want to actually share content.

How to Share an Update on LinkedIn…

You can share an update on your profile using the “post an update” box (which looks like this):

You can use this to post a link or other update and simply share your own content.

Updates to your Company Page can be posted in the same way, except that you go to your company page first and use the equivalent box on your Company Page.

How to someone else’s content on LinkedIn…

You can share content posted by others by clicking the Share icon under their posts. You can then either share the post on LinkedIn or send it as a message to specific individual(s). If you are posting it to your activity feed you can also add comments and choose the audience you wish to share with using the drop down.
