What do you want to be known for?

As well as identifying who you need to be visible to and where another important part of your networking and visibility strategy needs to be what do you want to be known as?

It is all fine and well being more visible to others, meeting others and being seen by them. However, you also need to make sure that you are making the right impression.

Part of your networking and visibility strategy is likely to be demonstrating your expertise (assuming you want to be seen as an expert). Therefore, part of putting together your strategy is identifying:

1. what you want to be known for;
2. what expertise you have that demonstrates this and how to build on it; and
3. how to can showcase this expertise in a way that plays to your strengths and can be included in your plan (e.g. writing, speaking, networking).

Once you have answered the above questions you will be able to outline a plan for showcasing your expertise and establishing yourself as a thought-leader.

If you already have an outline plan or strategy – make sure you update it for 2020.
