Use Internal Communications to Raise Your Profile

Does your company send internal emails and communications? Some companies that I have worked for send an email roundup of things that people have been working on. This would also include a round-up of press mentions (for both the company and individual employees) setting out featured, mentions, quotes, awards etc.

If you do make sure you submit your own external mentions etc to raise your own profile. If you don’t, why not stick it in the suggestions box if you think it would work for your company.

It is a great way to raise the profile of individual employees and showcase their efforts. It is also a useful way to know what other people in the company have been doing. This information can then be used as a talking point (subject to confidentiality of course) or to help you make introductions as part of your networking efforts.
