Use Social Media to Tell Your Stories

Visibility Planner - blogging and social media

We have blogged about the importance of being authentic and telling your story. However, you should not just be telling your story on your blog or website. You should not just be telling the story of your products or services.

Make the story bigger!

Social media can be a great way to tell more stories and share insights into your brand and business and give it some personality. Your content on social media can be smaller snapshots and “in the moment” giving your audience a different view to what they might usually get on your more professional website or blog.

When writing your social media strategy ask yourself: what story do you want to tell?

Then use your strategy to plan how you are going to tell it.

Your social media strategy should include all the information that you need to tell a story and be on brand.

  • What story are you telling?
  • Who are the main characters?
  • Who is your audience?
  • How is it relevant to your audience?
  • What do you want your audience to feel?
  • What medium are you using to tell the story?
  • How is it adding value?
  • What are your key messages?
  • What is the call to action?
