Y is for… Your Strategy

So why have we dedicated a whole a to z (26 posts) to LinkedIn? Because we believe that LinkedIn can be a powerful networking tool and form a crucial part of your networking strategy (in addition to boosting your online presence).

If you are a company…

Most companies and brands can use LinkedIn to market their practice or services online. We have talked about creating a company page earlier BUT you also need to invest time to develop your current and potential client relations, to promote your business and achievements through your company page. By including LinkedIn in your networking strategy you can ensure that your company page is being used effectively and is “joined up” with the rest of your branding and other wider strategies.

Work out what you want to achieve from you LinkedIn Company Page – what are your goals? Most likely, whatever your goals are you will need to have an active page, so why not start there and use it to engage with others – share content and encourage people to follow your page. This does not take up a lot of time and can be done in small bursts of time.

and if you are an individual…

you will be wanting to use LinkedIn as part of your everyday networking strategy by developing your existing relationships, sharing content and participating in groups. Take some time to think about what you want to get out of LinkedIn and how you can usefully use it as part of your existing networking strategy.
